Ghost Story from the Land of the Head Hunters

Rubber Tapping in Kanowit

Published by Borneo under , on 2:14 PM

This one happens to my mom in Kanowit when she was in her teen. Back then, in 70's, rubber tapping was a job to feed oneself & family. At least 2 square meals per person will do that time. She & her late-sister went to rubber plantation.

It was like 4.30am. Being early birds, they should have more rubber milk. They arrived at their shed. To their surprise, there was a light coming from the inside. At 1st, they thought, their brother came...but how could that be as the brother was asleep before they leave? Then they opened the door. Suddenly there was no light, nobody inside. Sense something amiss, they turn back to long house. Not far, they turned their head back, light was lit up.
