Ghost Story from the Land of the Head Hunters

Taman Selera

Published by Borneo under , on 8:21 PM

Taman Selera is one of the first recreational parks in Miri. It’s located at Tanjong Lobang, which is 3KM from city centre. Besides the golden sand beach, there is children playground and other outdoor facilities. There is also an open air hawker stall that is a popular eating place with the local and neighbor bruneians.

During the school holidays, many would flock to the beach to have barbeques and enjoy themselves swimming in the open sea. Unfortunately, many cases of drowning occur every now and then, with many survivors claiming someone or something is pulling them down into the water.

Many ghost sightings has been reported over time.. If you still can remember, the park used to have two zebras statues. Back then, there was no proper lighting unlike today and its dark scary. Many people or dating couples that went there said they saw ghostly figures of children playing on the Zebras and also empty swings, swinging on their own.
