Ghost Story from the Land of the Head Hunters

Old Man in Dream

Published by Borneo under , on 1:42 PM

Kath is staying in the town area of kuching. Nearby to her house, there is an old abandon cemetery that is overgrown by bushes. Not many people ever notice that the cemetery is there.

A building development project was planned at the area and the cemetery will need to be relocated to another area. The whole relocation process took around a week to be completed and construction work starts not long after that.

Since then, Kath has been seeing an old man calling out to her in her dream. She dreams of the same thing every night for almost a month until one night she talks to the old man. The old man in her dream asks her to help him. Without saying anything else, the old man led her to the cemetery in her dream and pointed out to a particular spot before vanishing.

The dream went on for another few days before Kath decided to go to the construction site. There she told the workers of her dream. She showed them the place where the old man pointed to her. After digging at the spot for a while, they found bone fragments. It’s the grave of the old man in her dream. It seems that they left out his grave during the relocation process, and this caused the spirit unable to rest in peace.

The grave was relocated to a new site and given a proper burial. Kath never saw the old man in her dream again.

Due to rapid development in the city, many old burial site needs to be relocated to give way to new projects. With many contractors taking the easy way out, some relocation process was not done properly, leaving some graves behind. Is this happening in your area?
