Ghost Story from the Land of the Head Hunters

Poster Collection

A close friend of mine stays at a housing estate just after Hilltop Garden, also nearby to the Riam cemetery. His house is a big double storey semi-detached house and every school holiday, me and my friends would hang out at his place to play video games. He has a sister that loves to collect poster. Her room is filled with all sorts of celebrity posters. One particular poster is a lady singer, which I forgot the name, that has a gothic look that always makes me feel uncomfortable just looking at it. The eyes seem to be looking straight back at you.

One late night, her sister screamed.. and this awoken her whole family. When they checked, she was crying.. and terrified.. as if something is in the room bothering her. There is nobody there except her. She was so scared that her family could not make out what she is talking about.

When she calmed down, she told her family that she felt something in her room. When she looked up, the eyes of the gothic lady on the poster glowed and starring at her. She was about to scream but suddenly felt something pushed her to the bed. She was unable to move or make any sound. While this is happening, she heard few coarse voices of man talking to her. It was the voice of ghosts. She was too terrified to hear what they said. This goes on for a few minutes before she was able to move and screamed.

A Chinese medium or bomoh was sought to check on the room. He said that there are spirits in the room and it is in the posters. He advises that all the posters to be removed as it attract lingering spirits. The posters were then removed and offering was made to make the spirits leave. She never slept in the room alone again.
